Week Two American Idol Guys-

Once again if your name is David you are probably safe. David H and David A seem to have secured themselves into the top six. Their performances were spectacular.

When I watch the show, I take notes. Each judges comments are ranked 1, 2 or 3 points using a completely arbitrary system in my own head. I also rank each performer with the same three point scale prior to judging. So each contestant has an opportunity for 12 points.

These were the rankings tonight:
David A 12, David H 12, Luke 10, Chikezie 10, David Cook 9, Michael Johns 9, Jason Castro 9, Danny 9, Robbie 7 and Jason Y with 6.

I found Danny completely listenable if I closed my eyes. Jason C made me forget the Beegees did IJWTBYE in the first place.

Both Robbie and Jason Y made the mistake of over reaching with their song choices and I dislike Chikezie enough to put him in the bottom three. Any of those could go and I wouldn't be bothered.

Signing off leaving commentary here, mainly because of your name game in the comment below, with reference to Chakezi. He is obviously a thorn in your side. While it's your right to dislike him, some shots are just below the belt, in my opinion....not to mention the fact that if on an open, more widely read forum, that particular choice of name would cause outrage.

Enjoy the season,

and sometimes a typo is only a typo.

I didn't realize I was playing a name game- and the one you accuse me of isn't particularly funny. I simply misspelled a name while trying to do four things at once.

Thanks for assuming the worst however, it reminds me not to take any of this too seriously.

I said I do not like him, mainly because of his attitude. In the audition shows he was played up to be a womanizer. He constantly talks back to Simon and he is not that talented.

If you interpret my lack of concern for the spelling of his name as an insult- so be it.

and further more, I did list Chakezie as the fourth best performance of the night. So, I think your assumptions about my post say more about you than they do me.

In last week's eliminations commentary Jeanann said:

"I also had both of the girls picked but instead of Colton for the guys I had Chikezi going home."

I wonder what devious plot is afoot.

The only thing here I'll dignify with my LAST response on this board is the "typo":

Chakezi to Chikezi is a typo...no "devious plot".

Chakezi to the perfectly spelled Chubacca is not a typo.

And, yes, my assumptions do say more about me; thank you.

Enjoy the show.

Yeah, I guess if you can't lighten up then I would prefer you not post- sorry.

Lastweek they made a big deal about Simon getting his name wrong all the time. Randy is the one who- in that context- called him Chubacca- I was assuming that the readers hear watch the show.

And if you sheck out http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23361404/ you will find that his name is frequently misspelled- In taht article they say Chikesie. So I will need to pay attention on Thursday to make sure which it truly is.

And if chakezie or chikezie to Chubacca is offensive- I am not sure how- but that would be a matter to take up with Randy Jackson.
